To further increase our positive impact on the horticulture sector in Vietnam, we are looking for a Sales Officer to be based at our Hanoi office.

The ideal applicant 

You are a professional with a proven track-record in the introduction of or sales of agricultural inputs or have a background in agricultural or horticulture production and have an interest to further develop the agriculture sector in Vietnam by providing Vietnamese farmers with world leading technologies and technical support to make them more successful. You graduated within the field of agriculture or horticulture production systems and are looking for an opportunity to put your strong communication skills and network to work to introduce our technologies to farmers and learn from our international technologies partners. You are a person who enjoys working together with farmers and build long lasting relationships based on a professional and trustworthy working attitude.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

 

To complete our team working on crops in North-Vietnam, we are looking for a Sales Officer to introduce and market the agricultural technologies we can offer farmers to improved and optimize the production of their crops.

 

The main responsibilities of this position are:

 

 

Introduce and market a wide range of agricultural technologies from our international partners ranging from vegetable and potato seeds, growing media, integrated pest management solutions, tools, irrigation systems, greenhouse film, etc. in the designated areas.

Plan and conduct trials to test and demonstrate our agricultural technologies.

Monitor and report trial results monthly.

Organize field days for farmers or other clients to demonstrate and promote our agricultural technologies.

Build a strong network of partners and clients.

Provide technical support to our clients.

 

Desired qualifications and skills

 

Experience:

At least 2 years of relevant experience in the sales or market development of agricultural inputs

 

Special Skills required:

Excellent in both verbal and written Vietnamese.

English communication skills are a strong advantage.

Excellent in sales and negotiation.

Strong communicator with people skills to get along well with farmers and plant nurseries.

Determination and drive to work towards targets.

Well organized, precise and accurate.

Passionate about agriculture and a drive to explore unpaved paths.

Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team.

Eager and available to work outside in the field in a rural setting across Vietnam if required.

Trustworthy.

 

Education:

BSc. degree in the field of agriculture or horticulture production systems
