To support the expansion of our activities in the aquaculture sector in Vietnam, we are looking for a passionate Aquaculture Technician to be based at our R&D farm in Can Tho.

To complete our Aquaculture and Fisheries team in Vietnam, we are looking for a professional Aquaculture Technician.

This position is primarily held responsible for assisting with operations at our RAS R&D farm in Can Tho and assisting with other project activities as follows:

  • Working along side our small team to assist with the running of trials in our state of the art RAS nursey
    • Tasks include but are not limited to:
      • Preparing live feed and algae cultures
      • Measuring and monitoring water quality parameters
      • Removing and recording mortalitys
      • Stocking and harvesting fish
      • Cleaning and disifection of equipment
      • General maintenance and housekeeping
  • Develop research proposals and standard operating procedures for production techniques
  • Implement these proposals into research and development trials
  • Record and analyse production and economic data
  • Assist with training programs for farmers and students
  • Data collection, analysis and interpretation from other ongoing projects
  • Implement the research methodology for the selected target group (e.g., farmers, traders, or consumers) with fluency for different methodologies ranging from quantitative, mixed-method, and qualitative surveys
  • Treat and consolidate the information collected into actionable sets of data
  • Develop an initial analysis and report the findings to the line manager and colleagues

Additional tasks may include travelling, working in the field and assisting with other projects from time to time.

The ideal applicant is a self-motivated individual with high potential to help the aquaculture department grow its activities in the field of research, aquaculture production and consulting services. As a team member, you will work with colleagues and the local network to gather and analyze information on the market in Vietnam in our projects and support the expansion of our aquaculture production with our international partners. As part of the multi-disciplinary Fresh Studio team, you will play a key role in changing and transform the aquaculture industry in Vietnam.



  • At least two years in aquaculture, ideally with experience in a commercial aquaculture setting such as a hatchery or fish farm.
  • Familiar with project development and implementation

  • BSc. degree or vocational training in the field of aquaculture


  • Excellent in both verbal and written Vietnamese and English.
