{"id":2771,"date":"2008-09-10T02:29:54","date_gmt":"2008-09-10T02:29:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/freshstudio.vn\/?p=2771"},"modified":"2022-11-08T03:31:58","modified_gmt":"2022-11-08T03:31:58","slug":"the-role-of-companies-in-poverty-alleviation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/freshstudio.vn\/vi\/the-role-of-companies-in-poverty-alleviation\/","title":{"rendered":"The role of companies in poverty alleviation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HANOI &#8211; During the 10th anniversary of the PSOM progam, Minister Koenders for Development Cooperation gave a speech titled: \u201cThe role of companies in poverty alleviation\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this speech Minister Koenders stated that he was one of the biggest fans of the PSOM program, as he had observed all over the world the enormous impact it had on poverty alleviation. One of the successful PSOM project examples he mentioned was the vegetable value chain project of Metro Cash &amp; Carry International Holding bv and METRO Cash &amp; Carry Vietnam Ltd. The minister stated: \u201cThere is a wonderful project in Vietnam that is training local farmers and enabling them to supply supermarkets by setting up a distribution chain. As a result, farmers\u2019 profit margins are higher\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project was designed and implemented in Dalat by a team of METRO and Fresh Studio.
