The agriculture economist will have a strong interest in using research insights to make a positive impact on the Myanmar agriculture sector. M\u1ed1i quan h\u1ec7 trong t\u1ed5 ch\u1ee9c<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Report to&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; : Country Manager Myanmar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span style=\"color:#eb1078\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>III. <strong>Tasks and<\/strong> responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the project portfolio, you will be managing projects that involve:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a) Farm, value chain and sector analysis:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Set up and implement studies to obtain a deep understanding of value chains, farm management systems, productivity and profitability trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities which farmers face in a certain sector;<\/li><li>Combine collected insights and the latest applied research insights to increase the skills of farmers to manage their farm business. The agriculture economist is expected to use the insights to set up support systems and develop trainings for farmers to improve the management of their farm.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>b) Training design and delivery<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Use insights to develop training curricula for different stakeholders to address identified value chain bottlenecks<\/li><li>Deliver interactive training programs, including practical demonstrations, interactive exercises and coaching trajectories that engage value chain stakeholders (i.e. farmers, processing companies)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>c) Business Development<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Support acquisition by keeping up to date on relevant opportunities through relevant (digital) channels and active networking with key stakeholders<\/li><li>Present Fresh Studio\u2019s track record to and actively engage potential clients<\/li><li>Develop project ideas and write project proposals <\/li><li>Develop work plans and budgets based on Terms of Reference<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>d) Project Management<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul type=\"I\"><li>Implement work plans in a professional and independent manner<\/li><li>Guiding teams in achieving project results in time and of high quality<\/li><li>Set up protocols and systems to monitor work performance<\/li><li>Create brief and professional reports about executed work<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u0110\u00e0o t\u1ea1o<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minimum requirement: a MSc in agriculture economics, development economics, agribusiness, finance, or other business-related field of study, with a specialization and\/or work experience in the agri-business sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Kinh nghi\u1ec7m<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul type=\"A\"><li>At least 3 years of professional work experience in the agricultural or agribusiness sector. Experience in the aquaculture sector is a pre.<\/li><li>Capable of performing financial analysis of a farming system, including a profitability analysis and a cost-benefit analysis of investments<\/li><li>Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative surveys<\/li><li>Experience working with both primary and secondary data<\/li><li>Affinity with teaching farm management practices and coaching.
