Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and creative Senior Communication Specialist to develop and implement impactful communication strategies that drive behavioral change and policy support in the agriculture and food sectors. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in multi-disciplinary teams, enjoys fieldwork, and has a strong ability to translate complex ideas into compelling content—both in words and visuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communication strategies tailored to diverse target audiences including
    • Farmers: Inspire adoption of improved and sustainable farming techniques.
    • Consumers: Promote awareness and demand for sustainably produced food
    • Policymakers: Craft policy briefs, organize workshops at national and provincial level, to support enabling environments for farmers.
  • Create engaging content across various formats: articles, infographics, videos, social media posts, presentations, and reports.
  • Conduct field visits to rural areas, urban markets, and supermarkets to understand audience needs and gather insights.
  • Collaborate with agronomists, post harvest specialists, economists, market researchers, designers, and project managers to ensure communication aligns with project goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns and refine strategies based on results.
  • Plan and manage communication activities, resource allocation, timelines and control the budget
  • Manage and grow Fresh Studio’s online presence and media outreach.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MSc) in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic communication, preferably in agriculture and sustainability
  • Able to work independently, with a track record of successfully leading communication projects
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to simplify technical content for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in measuring the outcome of various communication activities
  • Proficiency in visual communication and design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or equivalent) and social media platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese language
  • Willingness to travel to rural and urban field locations.
  • A proactive, curious, and collaborative mindset with a passion for making a positive impact.

The role

To further increase our positive impact on the agriculture sector in Myanmar, we are looking for a passionate administrative officer to be based at our office in Yangon.

The administrative officer is a highly organized and proactive professional who ensures the smooth day-to-day operations of our offices in Yangon and Kalaw. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administrative support, office and facility management, project assistance, and communication tasks. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.

Financial & administrative support

  • Manage office expenses
  • Prepare payments and monthly office expense forecasts
  • Keep attendance and leave records of staff
  • Manage office costs
  • Manage accommodation costs for international staff

Procurement & office supplies

  • Support procurement of office supplies, monitor stock levels, and manage stationery.
  • Collect quotations and where needed follow client’s procurement requirements.
  • Ensure timely purchase or repair office equipment and materials.

Operations & Facility Management

  • Supervise cleaning staff and maintain office cleanliness.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of office equipment, arranging maintenance when needed.
  • Coordinate with drivers and schedule attendance based on office needs.
  • Book meeting rooms and manage car rentals when required.

Staff and Visitor support

  • Assist staff with administrative requests and documentation.
  • Support project teams in preparing training materials, flyers, and other resources.
  • Prepare required documentation for international staff.
  • Arrange accommodation and travel for guests.
  • Organize team activities and celebrations

Record-Keeping & Documentation

  • Update records, databases, and tracking sheets.
  • Manage and update office assets

Communications & Media

  • Manage social media pages to showcase team activities
  • Edit videos and other media materials for social media posts

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administration or office management
  • trong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in handling procurement, financial documentation, and social media management is an asset
  • Ability to communicate in English

Project Manager for Value Chain Development

Fresh Studio, is looking for an experienced Project Manager for Value Chain Development

Fresh Studio is the leading food consulting and R&D firm in Vietnam and Myanmar. Our mission is to make our clients successful in the sustainable production and marketing of food. Since 2006, we have worked passionately to achieve this mission and assist our clients to improve all practices from farm to fork. With a professional international and multi-disciplinary team of 60 staff, five offices, one R&D farm in Vietnam, Myanmar and the Netherlands, we are playing an important role in making the agriculture sector more sustainable and more profitable in the region. Over the years we have implemented more than 200 successful projects for clients and created many successful value chains for both domestic and international markets.

To further increase our positive impact on the agriculture sector of Vietnam, we are looking for a VCD project leader to be based in our Ho Chi Minh City office, with regular travel in the Mekong Delta for field work and regularly visiting our FS office in Myanmar.

Exciting opportunity

As a Value Chain Development (VCD) project manager, your main responsibility will be to manage one of our VCD projects in Vietnam. You will support our client in the management of the project, implement the project monitoring and evaluation system and ensure that all the planned activities are executed successfully. You will inspire the project partners and chain actors to implement the project activities and are responsible for project communication, including the reporting to our clients. Besides managing this project, you are expected to support our other project teams in Myanmar and Vietnam in various other projects.  Occasionally you are expected to support the country managers of Fresh Studio Myanmar and Vietnam with project acquisition and contributing to the further growth and development of Fresh Studio.

The main responsibilities of this position are:

VCD project management

  • Manage a multi-disciplinary team to implement a value chain development project in a timely and well -planned manner
  • Execute all activities within the planned budget and timeframe
  • Manage and support all project partners and value chain actors to ensure that all project deliverables will be achieved
  • Communicate clearly the project purposes, activities and outcomes to all internal and external stakeholders involved in various forms: progress reports, project website, project impact video, conference presentations, project brochures etc.
  • Set up a project monitoring and reporting system to keep track of the progress of all project activities and make sure all project deliverables are achieved

Consultancy

  • Lead various value chain analysis assignments and develop strategic value chain development intervention plans
  • Lead sector studies
  • Create high quality reports and presentations about executed work.
  • Support the country manager in proposal writing for acquisition.

Our dream candidate

The ideal candidate has a strong academic background, such as an MSc in agricultural economics, rural development, or a related field. And brings at least five years of hands-on experience managing agricultural VCD projects.

You have a proven ability to design, implement, and report on both qualitative and quantitative studies, including baseline assessments, M&E studies, and rapid value chain appraisals. These insights have enabled you to successfully lead VCD initiatives that bring chain actors together and create resilient, self-sustaining value chains that continue to grow beyond project timelines.   You are results-driven, proactive, and passionate about working in the rural areas of Southeast Asia to create lasting impact. Your project management style is inspirational and detail-oriented, and you thrive in multi-disciplinary teams, contributing your own technical expertise—such as participatory methodologies, farmer extension systems, or farm economics.

With excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, you know how to motivate teams and stakeholders to turn product chains into truly thriving value chains.

Qualifications and skills

  • A MSc degree in agriculture economics, development economics or rural development studies
  • A minimum of 8 years of work experience, of which at least 3-5 years in a position as a successful project manager of a VCD project
  • Work experience in the agri-business sector of Southeast Asia, preferably in Vietnam or Myanmar
  • Strong organizing and planning skills, with attention to details
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communicator who is culturally sensitive
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently, while being a team player with a hands-on mentality
  • Passion for sustainable food
  • Eager to learn, discover and to travel in the field work sites across Vietnam and Myanmar
